Photo Upload for First-Year College Students

All first-year undergraduates entering the College are required to upload a photo for their UChicago Card before arriving on campus.  Please note that only first-year students are eligible to upload a photo. 

The photo upload site will appear for eligible students in the New Student Checklist found at  The upload site lists photo standards and requirements, so please be sure that your photo meets all the listed criteria before submitting.

Digital passport photos now available

Due to high demand and the change in US passport application requirements, the ID & Privileges Office now sells digital passport photographs.  This sevice is offered in addition to the standard printed passport photograph service.

CTA passes no longer sold by the IPO

The ID & Privileges Office is no longer selling CTA ticket fare.  However, we've listed options for purchase below, depending on whether you're an individual looking for one-off purchases or if you're looking to purchase fare in bulk for a University department.

IPO accepting Visa Card and MasterCard

The ID & Privileges Office accepts Visa Card and MasterCard payment for Library fines, card replacements, CTA ticket fare, and all of our other services.

We also accept cash, check, money order, and interdepartmental order forms (or 62 forms).
