The Identification & Privileges Office (IPO) is a joint venture between NSIT & The Library. We are available to assist with a wide variety of services to members of the University of Chicago community.

University ID Cards

The University of Chicago Card is the official University identification card. Chicago Cards are issued to all students enrolled in credit programs, faculty, staff and academic employees.

CNet ID & Network Account Assistance

We can help you claim your CNet ID or reset your password to gain access to email accounts and networked resources.

Library Privileges

We can help eligible users gain access to the University of Chicago's Library system.

Class Photo Rosters for Faculty

Our office distributes class photo rosters to U of C Faculty for their classes. Rosters must be ordered from the Registrar's web site.

CTA Tickets

We sell CTA tickets for riding the public transportation in the Chicago area.

Omega Airport Shuttle Passes

We also sell tickets for the Omega Airport Shuttles that operate between Hyde Park and the Midway and O'Hare airports.

International Student or Teacher Identity Cards

We sell ISIC and ITIC cards that are useful for teachers and students when travelling abroad.

Passport Photos

We sell passport photos for $8 per pair.

Library Lockers

The IPO is also responsible for renting lockers in the Regenstein Library.
